No7 Perfect light Pressed powder review

Hello Lovelies!

Recently the UK has been having a major heat wave! That means more ice lollies, Sun cream and sweat! Now, I absolutely HATE sweating. Not only is it un-attractive and smelly but it also causes my make up to melt and make me look like a Barbie doll, that has been shoved in the oven for a couple of hours.  -_-

So to protect my face from having to look like melted Barbie I purchased some powder to matte my face and try and hold back some of the melting make up.

I brought No7 Perfect light pressed powder in 'Dark'. Usually it costs around £12-£13. When the product arrived in the post I thought the shade was too light for my mocha complexion. But upon usage I found that it actually suited my skin and didn't have that grey tinge that some powders tend to give my skin.

The powder is very light and slightly translucent, which is probably the reason why it suits my skin.

This product is available in loads of stores (I think). Boots 100% sell it.
This powder is available in 4 shades :

Translucent
Fair
Medium
Dark  <----- (I brought this one :D )

Its a great powder to use and comes in a small compact case with a mirror. Easy to fit in your make up bag too!

Schwarzkopf LIVE COLOR XXL Cosmic Blue 90 (hair dye)

Sup hair freaks,

It has been ages since I've dyed my hair so I wanted a new hair color that would be a dramatic change from my dull reddish brown hair. I decided to try the Schwarzkopf hair dye in Cosmic Blue, which basically a blueish black color. It was kind of a risk for me because I've always wanted light hair and this is the complete opposite, but I was willing to give it a try. Black hair is not too bad though, it certainly looks good on Katy Perry, Vanessa Hudgnes, Nicole Scherzinger and many other celebs. And the fact that this hair dye has a blue tint gives it a lot more originality.

So here's the review:

The hair dye was very simple to use. One box was enough for my mid-length hair. I do suggest that if you use this dye, be careful not to get it on your skin or use petroleum jelly or body lotion on your face and ears before dying because I still have a blue stain on the side on my face :(

Pros:

  • The color comes out exactly like on the box.
  • There is a strong blue hue when in the sunlight.
  • Easy to use.
  • Very unique color.

Cons:

  • Stains everything.
  • Looks plain black indoors.
  • Blue slightly fades every time you wash your hair.
Here is a picture of my hair before and after:

Overall the hair dye is amazing. It does exactly what it's supposed to and if you want a blue-black hair color, this is your best option. However I am still struggling to get use to it...I'm feeling a bit blue *da dum tccshh* haha...no? I think it's because my hair has always been lighter than everyone else and now it's darker than everyone else. I'm planning on lightening the ends and adding a light blue ombre to my hair to jazz it up later this summer. The contrast with the dark blue and the light blue would create a cool gradient effect (yes I am obsessed with the color blue).

The color intend on using for the ends of my hair is Schwarzkopf LIVE COLOR XXL Electric Blue.

But Jade Thirwall from Little Mix seems to already have my dream hair...and I don't want copy her swagger. Is it still okay to even use the word 'swagger'.

Speaking of swagger (jagger)...Cher Lloyd has been rocking the blue hair for quite a while.

I really think this blue hair thing should be a trend. I better start adding all kinds of blue to my hair before it becomes too mainstream.

Thanks for reading my review/blue hair preach.
Goodluck!
